He has previously held leadership roles on the boards of Affirm, Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP), and Directors Academy.

As the former Chair, President, and CEO of Jamba Juice, James transformed the company into a global lifestyle brand. He has also held senior roles at Safeway, The Gillette Company, and Nestlé-Purina PetCare. Today, through his company Culture Design Lab Inc., he advises executive teams and boards on corporate culture and DEI strategies.
